What are some good things to come out of bad adaptations of /co/ material?

UNDERTAKER STORYTIME

Comic follows John Crow, a bastard undertaker with dark past and mean sense of humor, trying to save up enough to open a proper funeral parlor. He is mainly concerned with cash and keeping himself and his pet vulture safe. However, occasionally Crow's curiosity, sense of duty, and desire to make up for his past mistakes get him in trouble.

There are two story arcs, each two volumes long. First story follows Crow on a contract to bury aging and bitter gold mine mogul in his very first mine.

I will story time one volume a day. Book is on mega and I will upload each volume to vola as I story time it.

DC COMICS UNDERGOING MASSIVE RESTRUCTURING. DILDO MIGHT FINALLY LOSE HIS JOB.

https://archive.fo/ei5OU

>Bleeding Cool is getting very strong reports that there is major DC Comics restructuring being announced internally right this minute.

>In the last year, DC has seen major changes, with DC President Diane Nelson stepping down, DC CCO Geoff Johns stepping down, Jim Lee sharing his Publisher role with that of CCO, and Pamela Lifford being made the new President of DC Comics.

>We have heard high-level gossip from one side that Dan DiDio is no longer Publisher. However, when other enquiries to other sources have been made, I have been told that no, DiDio is still sharing the DC Comics Publisher role with Jim Lee. And, to be fair, he has survived many a rumour of his departure. And has outlasted them all.

Lord, I'm not a praying man, but please let Dan Dildo finally get shit-canned.

Wreck it Ralph 3: Untitled Disney Princess Space Adventure

http://archive.is/por3h

http://archive.is/5ImDJ

>Directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston said that a Ralph Breaks the Internet spin-off film focusing on the Disney Princesses could be made depending on the audience's response and "if there's a good story to be told".[119] Also, John C. Reilly says that he has an idea if a third film was to be made, which would see Ralph and Vanellope "beaming themselves right out into space".

They might actually fucking do this… Please tell me that piece of shit sequel flopped? Make the suffering stop.

Fucking prepare yourselves, /co/

There's a new carebears reboot coming up and I'm being reminded of when MLP:FIM first showed up. Perhaps we will see a similar wave of autism that the bronies had.

Becky Prim

Eh, I'd have taken this over the latest Zombie Simpsons, Stephen Soyniverse or Thundercats Soy.

Oscar Nominees

ANIMATED FEATURE FILM

>Incredibles 2

>Isle of Dogs

>Mirai

>Ralph Breaks the Internet

>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

ANIMATED SHORT FILM

>Animal Behavior

>Bao

>Late Afternoon

>One Small Step

>Weekends

Admittedly, there’s not much to discuss about the Oscars anymore, at least as far as /co/ content is concerned. Animated Feature Film is gonna be Incredibles or Ralph and Animated Short Film is gonna be Bao. The only tossup worth mentioning this year is that Black Panther was nominated for Best Picture (in one of the most pozzed Best Picture lineups I’ve ever seen).

Things You Came Across That You Don't Understand

Came across this image randomly. I could try looking deeper into it myself, but I figured /co/ wouldn't mind filling me in on this one.

The mayor did nothing wrong. Gumball and his family have caused more destruction to the town than anyone else and deserve a fate worse than being thrown into a gated community.

Voltron Season 6

The new season will be dropping on this Friday. Expectations? Hopes? Fears? I'm just hoping for more Pidge screentime.

Kim Possible

Well…this is gonna be a thing, how badly are they gonna fuck it up?

YOU BROKE MY GRILL?

What are you waiting for? Finish Your Comic

Didnt see anything in catalog. Let's have a comic creator resource thread. Writers, artist, inker, letterer, colorist, or any questions pertaining to creating and publishing your work.

Publishers

Marvel - https://www.marvel.com/help/category/17/topic/30 - does not accept portfolios anymore. You need to know someone to get hired now.

DC - https://www.dccomicstalentworkshop.com/artists-workshop/how-to-apply/ - they have a workshop set of courses every year (or have been lately) that you can submit work and portfolios towards admission. This can lead to work and showcases, like the New Talent Showcase 2018 issue ( https://www.dccomics.com/comics/new-talent-showcase-2016/new-talent-showcase-2018-1 ).

Image Comics - https://imagecomics.com/submissions - Accepts Artists: We accept inking, pencilling, lettering, or coloring samples. Writers: We accept proposals only. Clique group. Without a name, youll find trouble getting support from Image. Knowing someone is best way to get there and having previous work or status (novels, film, etc). Not the 'indy haven' it used to be.

https://jasonthibault.com/definitive-list-comic-publisher-submission-guidelines/ - this is a longer list of publisher and guidelines updated for 2018 standards.

Crowd funding is a great way to get funds, but also entirely name based and getting info out there. Need twitter and other media. Youtube channel is very good if artist for basic livestream drawing sessions or critiques, helping improve art of followers, etc. Jim Lee has a good channel for this. Ethan van Sciver used to do insider talks on his work with Marvel (New X-Men with Morrison, his Johns Rebirth stuff) and how to draw various characters. Mostly shittalks SJWs now though. Archives good source for building audience though. Can use the money in conjunction with some smaller publishers too.

I'll post some resources for general comic creation in follow up posts.

First look into AQUAMAN

It's sad that one of the few movies to depict traditionally attractive females like in the comics is going to be something dead in the water

Mickey Mouse

On this day, Steamboat Willie was created, and Mickey Mouse made his official debut Despite him technically appearing in Plane Crazy a few months earlier, but that was a test screening so I guess that doesn't count.

In any case, he's turning 90 today. Say something nice to him and his cartoons.

Animated PSAs

How come sexual abuse PSAs are far less common than drug PSAs?

Saturday Morning Cartoons

I've been watching old network promos because I hate myself and want to indulge myself in a nostalgia-induced depression, but now I want to discuss the cartoons that aired around them.

What killed off Saturday morning cartoons? Was it the larger availability of viewable timeslots on cable networks such as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network to watch cartoons vs the limited timeslots broadcast networks offered? Were the broadcast networks just not getting enough quality shows as old ones ended? Or did they just get canned because shows aimed at older audiences were more profitable on broadcast even without a change in viewership? Which block did you watch the most? What was the one cartoon you couldn't miss when it was on?

I remember watching Kids' WB until all the shows I remember anyone talking about were all moved to Cartoon Network around 2006 or so. I don't even remember what was left on Kids' WB after that. In hindsight, it's not too surprising that 4kids took over the block in 2008.

Reign of the Supermen

Here's the official trailer. I honestly forgot this shit was coming out and there's barely any buzz about this anywhere. Not that I blame people, The Death of Superman was such a boring pile of crap that I doubt anyone is excited to see this.

Tricks used to avoid drawing panty shots even when it was almost unavoidable. How many of these cases have you found?

Netflix Carmen Sandiego

/co/ Music Video

Looks like Jaime Hewlett finally got his wish of a crossover with McCracken.

Also, post your favorite /co/ related music videos

Let the hate flow through you.

What is the cartoon or comic that you hate the most?

Marvel vs. DC – Which Earth is it least safe to live in?

At this moment, if you had to choose between living a normal life on a Marvel or a DC Earth, which would it be?

In my opinion, I choose DC, because frankly their universe seems less "Chaotic".

It seems like DC Universes are less likely to be erased/altered/destroyed due to some impossible super villain and/or a dumb "soon-to-be-retconned" plot point.

Frankly one of the reasons why I prefer DC is because New York in Marvel's Universe is an even less safe place to live in than Rio De Janeiro.

You can expect a duck to sneeze and blow up 3 city blocks with how actually safe it is to live there. They have almost as many monsters attacking the city as Japan or Townsville.

Even though Gotham and Metropolis have their own share of Chaos, it feels more isolated and easy to avoid compared to the ever changing kooky world of Marvel.

I mean, there's what happened with Coast City and Hal Jordan, but that was one incident. Marvel seems to get a lot more of them.

But that's just me, what is your opinion?

/co/ Share Thread the second

ITT: share /co/ related material with other anons - cartoons, comics, etc.

READ ME BEFORE ASKING FOR ANYTHING

Due to the smaller userbase of comics compared to films and video games, torrents are usually less seeded, if they even exist. MEGA links will be primarily used as they are faster and reliable for the immediate future.

Vola https://volafile.org/r/kVIkT3

>How to remove Mega's 1.5gb download limit/bandwith quota?

Download MegaTools or JDownloader 2. Copy/paste links and it will download at full speed and won't care about limits.

Leechers

1. Before you request, search online for the file you want.

2. Look first in the archives and on volafile for the file you are looking for.

3. When requesting, be as specific as possible. If you have the cover art of the file you want, post it on in the thread. Especially if there's more than one run i.e Batman #1-10 refers to many different issues.

4. Due to fun police, links to files will be split in half.

If you see something like: c12fe1c06bba254a9dc9f519b335aa7c1367a88a |or| c12-fe1c-06bba25-4a9dc9f519-b335aa7c1-367a88a, it's an Info Hash. Most/all torrent clients handle a hash. Same as using a magnet, just copy/paste it.

Uploaders

1. Upload whatever. Don't ask if someone wants it. Merely being there might incentivise someone to read/watch it.

2. Don't upload to a filesharing site and expect it to stay there forever. MEGA is not for storage. It will eventually get taken down in the long run.

3. Split links to confuse bots. See "HowtoContribute" file.

Volafile

1. Don't upload 100 issues individually if you can. Uploading a .zip would be both easier for uploading and downloading, and doesn't clog the Vola. If anons are wary of downloading .zips, upload a few issues individually to prove legitimacy, then .zip the rest.

2. Don't turn the Vola into a circlejerk, posting reaction images and discussing your penises in the chat.

If the site goes down, there are no true bunkers for /co/. Other sites like endchan.xyz and 8ch.pl exist, but they are mostly for the big 3 boards.

The Loud House Movie Canceled

http://archive.is/ipjha

And now it can join the ranks of the Phineas & Ferb movie and the Adventure Time movie as yet another animated series that trigger happy studio execs greenlit a film adaptation of at the height of its popularity (likely just as a way to flex their nuts over how popular it is, like "it's so popular it's getting a movie!"), then proceeded to languish in production hell until the series was no longer relevant, at which time it quietly got pushed under the rug.

20 years ago today, Ed Edd n Eddy premirered

Lasting 131 episodes across 6 seasons and a movie, airing for 10 years making it the network's longest running series.

Will it ever be topped as the best Cartoon Network show?

Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five

>Brand new WB movie featuring the characters of Bruce Timm's Justice League along with new inclusions

Im cautiously optimistic about it, remembering how Batman vs Harley Quinn turned out and seeing most of the original cast absent in favor for worst Martian and diversity quota #67. Though seeing the Legion of Superheroes get more love is always a plus.
